But first, quick info on wheatgrass to set the stage:
Wheatgrass is the grass of wheat(Triticum aestivum) plant.
You can grow and prepare wheatgrass in your house.
Usually, it is consumed as fresh juice as wheatgrass shots but you can even purchase it in powdered and supplements form from stores.
Although, you might have seen, still, that’s how wheatgrass looks.

Group 1: Control Diet
Group 2: High Fat Diet
Group 3: High Fat Diet with wheatgrass juice
After 10 weeks it is found that group 3 shown reduces the total cholesterol level and increases “good” HDL cholesterol, compared to Group 1. (Source)
Another study, in which rats with high cholesterol levels given wheatgrass juice resulted in lowering “bad” LDL cholesterol level.
