With blending, you get all the pulp and fiber that bulks up the produce. It’s like not extracting only the juice but also getting the taste of the squashy pulp and the goodness of all that’s inside of the fruit and veggie.

Drawbacks of Juicing
- You can consume a lot of sugars at once.
- A juicing machine leaves the nutrients and fibers rich skin and pulp behind.
- Juicing can make your body absorb the fructose sugar more easily, which can upset blood sugar levels.
Drawbacks of Blending
- You might end up consuming a lot of sugars too quickly
- You might over-consume a few fruits and veggies like spinach, etc.
- The pulp and fibers while blending veggies are absolutely raw and over-consuming might make you feel constipated.
Which is more nutritious?
In my opinion, blending is more nutritious because when you juice your fruits and vegetables, you may get more concentrated, more easily-absorbed nutrients. This is because the bulk of the vitamins and minerals found within fruit are typically in the juice and not in the pulp and fibrous material that you’d also get in a smoothie.
But juices contain little to no fiber. Fiber is incredibly important for proper digestion and good health.
Soluble fiber, like that found in apples, carrots, peas, green beans, and citrus fruits is only retained when we blend them.
Also, insoluble fiber, which is in vegetables like cauliflower, potatoes, and dark leafy vegetables, and that adds bulk to your stool and stimulates your intestines into action can only be consumed when blended completely.
Which is better overall for a healthy person: Juice or Smoothie?
While both juice and smoothies have their own benefits, overall, smoothies are usually a better bet nutritionally.
You can get the perfect amount of calories, you can get more fiber, protein, vitamins, and minerals. So skip the smoothie bar, and start making your own at home.
Smoothies have a slight edge. Why?
Not all juice is created equal. A glass of Orange juice gives you 20 percent of your day’s potassium plus four times your daily dose of vitamin C, the same amount of apple juice has half the potassium and almost no vitamin C. 
Smoothies, however, are more likely to contain multiple ingredients, so you can customize them for maximum nutrition.

Juicing and blending both have their advantages and both can become a staple part of anyone’s diet. It depends on one’s choice of lifestyle that weather if they wanna opt for juicing or blending. It also sometimes depends on the equipment you have in hand to either extract juice or to blend it.
The effects, taste, and texture difference between the two, but both are considered to be a healthy alternative.
