1. Treating or Preventing Urinary Tract Infection (UTI)

Proanthocyanidins, a compound found in cranberries, have natural antibacterial benefits that prevent UTI. 

In 2017 study found that cranberry juice reduces the occurrence of UTIs in mice. 

Researcher thinks that compounds like Proanthocyanidins in cranberries stop Escherichia coli (E. coli) from sticking to the lining of the urinary tract, thereby preventing the spread and growth of bacteria.

That said, Studies found that cranberries may help in preventing the UTI but not effective in treating them.

Along with that, people with kidney stones, diabetes should also consult a doctor before consuming cranberry juice or supplements.
